MS. CHERYL GRAVES

MS.CHERYL GRAVES was born and raised on the South Side of Chicago. She started her community work by cleaning toilets and has been in the community ever since. This South Side woman thinks a community to her is people who want the same ideals about safe communities and respect for young people.
This woman is so involved in her work that she thinks the best part of a community is the people due to the fact that it’s a lot of opportunities in the community that young people need to get out and explore them.
When she was asked what changes has she seen in the community since she has been working in it she said “I think our parents due to the fact that we trained them and them going from less caring people to more responsible people that made me proud .
Also this lady is so cool and down to earth and I can honestly say we have that connection because, I think the best person you could be is yourself so I think that was what she did throughout the entire interview. When she was asked how would you define a hero she said, “Anybody who takes a risk to change something is always a hero to me.
            Sincerely,
                         Juanita Scott.
